Portée et contenu

One of eleven Vignettes for steel engravings of locomotives, train-yards, all mounted on one support.
The engraving firm evolved from Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Co. formed in 1832, becoming Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Edson, Bank Note Engravers in 1847. It was the fore-runner of the American Bank Note Co. established in 1858. It was responsible for the production of the first Canadian postage stamps as well as various early Canadian bank notes and debentures, mirroring comparable work conducted in the United States.
