- Make a list of the unusual or creative features you notice in this book.
- Is the artist trying to convey a message? What is it?
- Is the message being conveyed through the words, the images, or the words and images? How?
- Are the themes and messages obvious? Why?
- How can the subject of a book influence its shape or presentation?
- Explain how the following elements are used:
- The shape of letters
- The colours
- The arrangement of words on the page
- Do you notice different types of writing or poetry? Which?
- What visual arts do you see? (e.g., use of watercolour or ink, type of paper, etc.)
